Chairperson <br /> Tim Rehbine called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. Present: John Magill, Paul <br /> Montain, Jim March, and Aimee Fairbrother. <br /> Approval of November 1998 Minutes <br /> Motion by Tim Rehbine to approve November minutes. John Magill seconded the <br /> motion. Paul Montain abstained. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Design Team Open House Review <br /> Paul Montain apologized to the committee for missing the last two meetings due to a <br /> serious illness. Committee member Montain asked the committee for an overview of the <br /> open house as well as a description of where the tasks are headed. Tim Rehbine began <br /> the discussion stating that the open house was well received by the community, and that � <br /> the feedback so far has been real positive. Tim Rehbine explained the events of the open � <br /> house and indicated that Wayne Leblanc has taken charge as the group leader. Tim � <br /> Rehbine then stated that Wayne Leblanc has created eight different task groups based on � <br /> the Minnesota Design Team recommendations. These groups will meet periodically on i <br /> their own, and then as a community every two months at Centervilte City Hall. The � <br /> community meetings would be to update any progress made in any of the eight task <br /> groups. <br /> The eight task groups are: <br /> 1. Entrance Tasks <br /> 2. Downtown Tasks <br /> 3. Church Tasks <br /> 4. Streetscapes Tasks <br /> 5. Park/Trails Tasks <br /> 6. Lakes Tasks <br /> 7. County Road 14 Tasks <br /> 8. Community Center Tasks <br /> Jim March stated that the City Council has accepted the Design Team ideas, and that <br /> several of the tasks groups have already met. Jim March also reviewed several grants <br /> that the City is eligible to apply for, and much discussion was held in regards to the <br /> grants. The grants that Jim March covered were: The Fishing Pier Grant, Outdoor <br /> Recreation Grant, Natural and Scenic Area Grant, and the Cooperative Trail Linkage <br />
