Department of Natural Resources to build a fishing pier on Centerville Lake. Centerville i Lake is part of a chain of lakes in Anoka County's Rice Creek Regional Park. The fishing ' pier would be located on land currently belonging to Anoka County on the east side of , Centerville Lake. The idea for a fishing pier was derived from a city contest in which youth submitted drawings of something they would like to see in Centerville. The drawing was then incorporated in a visit by the Minnesota Design Team in September of 1998. It is hoped that through grant funds the City can complete its vision for the community and for the youth of Centerville.
