STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> FOR RESIDENT INPUT ON PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS OF CITY CODE <br /> CHAPTER 156 SECTIONS 156.006 & 156.107 <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br /> Centerville, Minnesota will be meeting and consider resident input regarding proposed <br /> City Code modifications to Chapter, Sections 156.006 & 156.107 on May 11, 2010 in <br /> City Hall Council Chambers located at 1880 Main Street, Centerville, Minnesota 55038 <br /> commencing at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter. A listing of the modifications are outlined <br /> below: <br /> AMENDED DEFINITIONS <br /> Section 1, Chapter 156.006 New section as follows —Amended Definitions: I <br /> ACCESSORY BUILDING. A subordinate building or portion of the main building which � <br /> is located on the same lot as the principal structure, the use of which is incidental and ' <br /> accessory to that of the principal structure. <br /> YARD, REAR. The portion of the yard on the same Zot with the principal building located , <br /> between the rear line o, f the building and the rear lot line and extending for the full width � <br /> of the lot. i <br /> Sections A, 1& 5, Chapter 156.107 New section as follows <br /> (A) Accessory Structures — Residential Uses <br /> (1) No more than two detached accessory buildings are permitted on any single- <br /> family, detached dwelling parcel located in any district except R-1.. <br /> (S) Accessory structures and accessory buildings must have a minimum of a S- <br /> foot interior side setback and a 10 foot rear setback. Where a rear or side yard abuts a <br /> street, an accessory building shall be set back a minimum of 20 feet from the street <br /> property line. No structure may be placed in an easement except bridges by written <br /> permit approved by the City Council. Where a lot line easement exists, the building <br /> overhang may not extend into the easement except where approved by the City Council. <br /> The City Hall is ADA accessible. Requests for hearing assisted devices or a sign <br /> language interpreter must be received before 4:00 p.m., May 7, 2010. All persons <br /> interested are invited to attend and to be heard, verbally or in writing.
