<br />KESOLUTI on flO. <2;' ~ 3..1 <br />STATE OF mrlNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOGUIZIilG THE ACCor.1PLISHi'lENTS OF TIiE CENTENNIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT. <br /> <br />HHEREAS, Centennial Seni or High School I../as a\'/arded the nation I s most <br />prestigious award for quality education, in being designated by the President <br />of the United States and the U.S. Department of Education as a ~'lationa1 School <br />of Excellence and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS. the Centennial High School is one of five schools in the state <br />of:Unnesota to be so recognized and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. this national award has brought great recognition and praise to <br />the Centennial area and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the sucaess of the school is a credit to its teachers. its <br />administrators, its students and its parents and to the Centennial Community <br />and <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Centennial School District is a credit to the Centerville <br />Comnunity and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the City Council of the City of Centervllle <br />to recognize the accomplishments <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE liE IT RESOLVED. by the City Council of the City of <br />Centervi1le as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Mayor of the City of Centervi11e is hereby directed <br />to prepare a letter sh~/ing our recognition of the ~ational <br />School of Excellence Award and our compliments to the <br />Centennial School Staff. <br /> <br />2. That the City Staff is also hereby directed to prepare an <br />appropriate plaque to be presented to the Centennial School <br />District at its ceremony in recognition of its accomplishments. <br /> <br />3. That a certified copy of this resolution is directed to be <br />sent to the Centennial School District. <br /> <br />4.
