If you anticipate that you will have overnight guest(s) or <br />your own vehicles will be temporarily parked on the street, please <br />. contact City Hall and we will be happy to provide you with Q free park- <br />ing permit. <br /> <br />COUNTY WIDE CURFEW <br /> <br />Ages 12 & Under: <br /> <br />No later than 9:00 p.m. on Sunday <br />through Thursday <br /> <br />No later than 10:00 p.m. on <br />Friday and Saturday <br /> <br />No later than 10:00 p_m~ on Sunday <br />through Thursday <br /> <br />No later than 11:.00 p~m. on Sunday <br />through Friday <br /> <br />No later than 11:00 p.m~ on Sunday <br />through Thursday <br /> <br />No later than 12 :00 p.m. on <br />Friday and Saturday <br /> <br />LAWN & GARDEN WATERING REGULATIONS <br /> <br />Ages 12 to 14: <br /> <br />Ages 15 to 17: <br /> <br />Lawn and garden watering may only take place . before 10:00 a.m. or <br />after 6:00 p~m. The odd even rule applies for all watering_ If <br />your address ends in an even number, you may water only on even <br />numbered days~ If your address ends in an odd number, you may <br />water only on odd numbered days. If you have newly installed sod, <br />you are exempt from this lawn & garden watering regulations for a <br />period of two weeks. <br /> <br />The City will place warning notices on homes that may not be. <br />aware of the watering regulations. and are watering during the <br />restricted times. This warning is an attempt to work with and <br />educate residents prior to issuing violations. <br /> <br />- 1:>11:) YOU KNOW???? <br /> <br />Did you know that fences now require a fence permit? <br /> <br />Did you know that placing a basketball hoop on your street is pro- <br />hibited? <br /> <br />Did you know that fences are requireq by ordinance with self- <br />closing, self~latching gates for swimming pools with a depth of 24 <br />inches or more? <br /> <br />Did you know that fence height requirements have been modified <br />from 6 feet to 4 feet for pools that are 24 inches or more in <br />depth? <br /> <br />Did you know that pool permits are required for pools that are <br />more than 24 inches deep? <br /> <br />If you have any questions regarding any item listed above, please con- <br />tact City Hall at 651-429-3232 or Building Inspections at 651-429- <br />4750. <br /> <br />NEW CITY COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> <br />Ci1y Staff woul d like to welco me Counci I Member, Rick T erway. It is time to think about the upkeep of the outside of your <br />home and yard. Here are some reminders: <br /> <br />o Keep lawns and weeds mowed. <br /> <br /><> Vehicles which are not operable must be stored inside. <br /> <br />.0 Keep firewood (stacked neatly) and compost piles 5 feet from <br />property lines. . <br /> <br />Qo Clean up after your pet. <br /> <br />GARAGE SALE SIGNS <br /> <br />The City wou I d Ii ke to request that if anyone sti II has not returned <br />their garage sale signs to please do so. This will assist staff in a <br />proper inventory So that in the coming years no garage sale host will <br />have to be turned down for a sign. <br /> <br />Garage Sales are a great way to recycle our old things and to make <br />some extra money. When posting your garage sale sign, keep the fol- <br />lowi ng in mind: <br /> <br />o Remove signs promptly after the event has ended. <br /> <br />o No signs should be placed in the right-of-way or on public utility <br />po les ~ <br /> <br />o Signs may be placed 0 n pr ivate property only with the permission of <br />the property owner. <br /> <br />o Signs shall not be displayed for more than 10 days~ <br /> <br />The Public Works Department routinely removes illegal signs. To <br />protect your advertising. do not place the signs within the right-of- <br />way. <br /> <br />FETE DES LACS <br /> <br />Fete des Lacs will be held on August 5, 6 and 7.
