Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes 06 -02 -10 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, June 2, 2010 - 6:30 p.m. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of Centerville held the regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. Present: Chairperson Patrick Branch Vice Chairperson Jon Grahek Committee Member Suzanne Seeley Committee Member Brian Peterson (� (�� O 0 C��d@� ,�� Committee Member Mark Haiden U a Committee Member Kevin Amundsen Absent: City Council Liaison Mayor Capra Committee Member Kevin Selander Staff: Staff Liaison Kim Stephan I. CALL TO ORDER Roll Call Chairperson Branch called the June 2, 2010 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. Committee Member Seeley was not present, but will be in attendance. II. SET AGENDA Mr. Mark Statz, City Engineer, requested a discussion be added regarding the location of the flag pole in Comer Stone Park, Chairperson Branch added this item under Updates #8. Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member Haiden, to set the agenda with above addition. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Committee Member Seeley arrived late and requested adding a discussion of two ideas she would like to present under Committee Business: #1 - Advisory Position to the Parks & Recreation Committee and #2 - Inviting a Master Gardener to a Committee Meeting to Discuss the Emerald Ash Borer. Chairperson Branch also would like to add Mr. Tom Lee under Appearances to discuss Music in the Parks. Motion was made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member Haiden, to amend the above motion to include the above additions. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. III. APPEARANCES Mr. Tom Lee made an appearance to discuss the Music in the Park schedule with the committee. Mr. Lee has 1 of 6
