deployment; each of our patrol officers carry a Taser while on <br />duty. Training included a written test, deploying two cartridges <br />at a target and law updates. <br />November - December 2009 <br />Night /inclement Weather Shoot at the Anoka County <br />outdoor range. <br />This training was coordinated with all Anoka County agencies <br />and was completed at night. Officers fired 50 rounds from <br />various distances with the use of a flashlight. It also included <br />firing from the off hand and using gloves. <br />During the year of 2009, firearms instructors cleaned and maintained seven <br />M223's (squad rifles). Instructors also inspected officers' weapons; two of <br />these were surprise inspections. We look forward to adding new training <br />equipment so we can complete more Department training at our own facility. <br />Sgt. Pat Aldrich also joined the Use of Force staff this past year and will be <br />assisting in running our excellent program. <br />53 <br />72 <br />
