Retrofitting Programs. Describe any education or incentive programs to encourage the <br />retrofitting of inefficient plumbing fixtures (toilets, showerheads, faucets, and aerators) or <br />appliances (washing machines). <br />None. Approximately 70% of served homes were constructed after 1992. Rebates for water <br />saving fixtures will ce considered if other measures do not secure the water use efficiencies to <br />attain the metro average of 75 gallons per capita per day. <br />Plan Approval. Water Emergency and Conservation Plans must be approved by the Department <br />of Natural Resources (DNR) every ten years. All DNR plan approvals are contingent on the formal adoption of the plan by <br />the city council or utility board.
