City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> June 23, 2010 <br /> Mayor Capra reviewed background information stating the Police Governing Board <br /> decided that while the Centennial Lakes Police Chief is out on leave, to temporarily bring <br /> in Mr. Shellum to help with the work load that the Chief normally handles. <br /> Mr. Robert Shellum, Interim Director/Police & Emergency Services, appeared before the <br /> City Council to introduce himself and give a brief background of his experience, noting <br /> he served in local government and was a police officer for thirty years. He stated he is <br /> excited to work with the City. <br /> The City Council thanked Mr. Shellum and welcomed him to the City. <br /> VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> - done - <br /> VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. Wellhead Protection Joint Powers Agreement <br /> City Administrator Larson reviewed background information stating the Council adopted <br /> a Wellhead Protection Plan as required by State Law. The proposed joint powers <br /> agreement allows several communities involved to work together implementing the <br /> plans. <br /> The City Council discussed appointing the Public Works Director as the City <br /> representative of the Agreement with the City Administrator serving as the alternate. <br /> Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br /> the Wellhead Protection Joint Powers Agreement. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br /> Fehrenbacher to appoint the Public Works Director for the City of Centerville as <br /> the City representative to the Wellhead Protection Joint Powers Agreement, and the <br /> City Administrator of the City of Centerville as the alternate. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> 2. Resolution #10 -016 — Authorizing Transferring Funds From Stormwater Utility <br /> (Fund #415) to 2009B G.O. Improvement Refunding Bond Fund #348) <br /> City Administrator Larson reviewed background information. He stated this resolution <br /> authorizes the transfer of what the City Council had previously approved in the budget. <br /> Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to <br /> adopt Resolution #10 -016 — Authorizing Transferring Funds From Stormwater <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
