RESOLUTION NUMBER 10 -Oxx <br /> A resolution requesting advertisement for bids on improvement. <br /> WHEREAS, the City submitted a grant application with Anoka County as sponsoring <br /> agency to Metropolitan Council for a Regional Trail Link Project and, <br /> WHEEEAS, Metropolitan Council approved the application for a Grant to construct <br /> Centerville Regional Trail Link Project identified as project # S.P. 02- 090 -01, Minn. <br /> Proj. No. TEAX 0212(008), and <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to approval of the grant, plans and specifications were prepared <br /> by Bonestroo and submitted to Minnesota Department of Transportation and to <br /> responsible Federal agencies, and <br /> WHEREAS, such State and Federal agencies have approved such plans and have given <br /> authorization to advertise the project for bids. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1) The City requests that Anoka County as sponsoring agency authorize the <br /> advertisement for bids on the project in conformance with law and County <br /> policies, on behalf of the City of Centerville. <br /> 2) The City will at its sole expense provide all engineering services related to such <br /> project bidding, will pay for all costs of advertisement for bids, receipt of bids and <br /> tabulation of bids. <br /> 3) City Council will evaluate bids that are received and provide direction to Anoka <br /> County as to whether bids meet specifications and whether or not a contract <br /> should be let to the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> 4) If the City and Anoka County determine that a contract should be awarded for the <br /> project, the City will provide at its sole expense all engineering services to <br /> manage the construction of the project and will pay all construction costs of the <br /> project that are not paid by the Federal Funds allocated to the project. <br /> Adopted by the Council this 26 day of May, 2010. <br /> Mary Capra, Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br />
