On- going. <br /> Rental Licensing- Continue to utilize Centerville's existing rental licensing <br /> program to promote safe rental housing. Long -term. <br /> Along with the Action Plan the City developed Residential Goals and Polices <br /> to further strengthen and support its efforts for providing opportunities for the <br /> development of life -cycle and affordable housing as well as meeting other <br /> residential goals. <br /> Program Assistance. It is anticipated that the City will utilize the assistance of <br /> a variety of housing development programs. The following are identified as <br /> most likely funding assistance sources. These programs are anticipated to help <br /> finance approximately 120 affordable family rental units. <br /> • Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Demonstration Account <br /> • Minnesota DEED Small Cities Development Program <br /> • Minnesota Housing Finance Agency Housing Tax Credit Program <br /> • Low and Moderate Income Rental Progam <br /> • Economic Development and Housing Challenge Program <br /> • Flexible Financing for Capital Costs <br /> • Community Development Block Grant Funds (Anoka County) <br /> Life -Cycle housing may use these sources but are very likely to use traditional <br /> private financing methods. <br />
