Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes 08-04-10 PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Wednesday, August 4, 2010 - 6:30 p.m. Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks & Recreation Committee of the City of Centerville held the regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street. Present: Chairperson Patrick Branch Committee Member Suzanne Seeley Committee Member Brian Peterson Committee Member Kevin Amundsen Committee Member Kevin Selander Absent: Vice Chairperson Jon Grahek Committee Member Mark Haiden Council: City Council Liaison Mayor Capra Staff: Staff Liaison Kim Stephan Mr. Mark Statz, City Engineer ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ I. CALL TO ORDER Roll Call Chairperson Branch called the August 4, 2010 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. II. SET AGENDA Chairperson Branch requested adding a discussion of a Coordinator for Schwan’s Skate Night under #5 Updates as A. Motion was made by Committee Member Amundsen, seconded by Committee Member Seeley, to set the agenda with the above addition. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. III. APPEARANCES Mr. Mark Statz made an appearance to discuss the Trail Project & Storm Water Reclamation Project. Trail Project Update The committee took into consideration the following input from Mr. Dallas Larson, City Administrator: Mark Statz and Paul Palzer will be at your meeting to review the trail project and provide suggestions to get this back within the expected cost. The project cost estimate was about $1,040,000; bids came 1 of 6
