(N) Interim uses. <br />(1) Industrial uses that existed on a site in the I -1 Industrial district as a legal, fully <br />conforming use prior to the site being rezoned from I -1 to B -1, may continue and be <br />expanded on that site as if located in an I -1 District until the use is changed to a use that is <br />permitted in this district. After it is changed to a use permitted the B -I district, it may not <br />thereafter be used except as permitted in this district. Where the proposed change from I- <br />1 to B -1 has been initiated by the City, the Planning and Zoning Commission shall <br />simultaneously with making such zoning change, determine whether such parcel is a fully <br />conforming industrial use qualifying for interim use status.
