Res. #10-020 — Proclaiming October to be Domestic Violence Awareness Month. <br />5. Res. #10-021 — Proclaiming September 17-23, 2010 to be Constitution Week. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to approve <br />the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONSIAPPEARANCES <br />None. <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />Resolution #10-022 — AuthoriziMPurchase of Tax Forfeit Propgfty <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information regarding the Tax Forfeit <br />property. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />to ado Resolution #10-022 authojjZi:ng purchase of tax forfeit proRe!:!y. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimous!y. <br />2. Hydroseeding Update. <br />Councilmember Love stated the Planning and Zoning Commission are in favor of <br />hydroseeding and are in the process of making amendments to the city ordinance. He <br />added that he is in favor of holding off assessing the developer that hydroseeded instead <br />of sodding. <br />City Attorney Glaser stated the city could retain the whole amount of the deposit since <br />the developer violated the ordinance. City Attorney Glaser suggested a letter be sent to <br />the builder to try and reach a compromise on the penalty assessment. <br />Councilmember Broussard Vickers stated she is in favor of assessing the developer <br />within the range of $500 to $ 1,000. <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
