Citv of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 8.2010; <br />about $95 increase per month. He explained that it is not necessarily the need for the <br />high speed but a benefit for the city. The fiber infrastructure would be installed along <br />Main Street and 20"' Avenue, providing the possibility of high-speed service for most of <br />our business and industrial community. <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />give tentative apBroval for participation in the Anoka Coun!y broadband Project. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimousLy. <br />IX ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />1. Ci ly Administrator, Dallas Larson <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed the Clearwater Drive mill and overlay project and <br />advised that the contractor agreed to absorb 75 percent of the cost. Staff will send a bill <br />for the 25 percent of the City's share divided amongst the properties involved. <br />2. City Engineer, Mark Statz <br />City Engineer Statz indicated he met with an irrigation contractor regarding the large gun <br />style irrigation system. He proposed having a demonstration of the large gun irrigation <br />style for council and staff to determine if this is a product that can be installed. <br />3. Mayor Capra <br />Mayor Capra stated the City of Centerville is now on Twitter at Centervillemn. She <br />added she attended the Rush Line Corridor meeting and advised there will be a one-year <br />test for a commuter bus traveling from Columbus to St. Paul. Also, funding for the Park <br />and Ride located on 35E and County Road 14 has been approved and will be completed <br />next year. <br />Motion by Paar smeonded by Broussard Vickers to adiourn the September 8, 2010 <br />City Council Meeting at 8:00 p.m. All in favor.
