TO: Parks and Recreation Committee Members FROM: Kim Stephan SUBJECT: Skate Night / Horse Drawn Hayride DATE: September 29, 2010 As discussed at the September 1, 2010 Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting I contacted Bunker Stables to determine their availability and prices for a Horse Drawn Hayride on January 8, 2010. I have been looking for other stables in the area that may offer the same service for less, but as of yet have not found any where else that offers this service but Bunker Stables. Response follows: Glad to hear that you are thinking about having us out this year. We do still have availability to do your event on the 8 th of January the fee for having us out this year for the normal two hours is $625 plus the $25 travel fee. We do still have availability. The drain stop could be purchased at the store when the Hot Chocolate is purchased for the skating event. (Assuming that we do purchase Hot Chocolate.) BUNKER TRAVEL ACTIVITIES - WE CAN COME TO YOU! Having a church activity, corporate function, or a neighborhood outing? Horse -drawn hay wagons or hand- led ponies add horse -filled fun for your group! Our covered wagon will carry up to 22 people and our flatbed wagons will accommodate up to 35 people. It is your option to have multiple shorter rides or one long ride. A credit card or $100 cash/check deposit, along with detailed directions to the location and a map of the route, must be received at least one week in advance to hold the reservation. The route needs to be level and wide enough for the team and wagon (approximately 6'x16'). Our wagons are road legal, but routes need to have minimal traffic. Deposits are fully refundable if the cancellation is made one week in advance. For weather related day of cancellations, please call at least four hours before to reschedule the ride or the deposit will be forfeited. $500.00 /first hour plus tax and travel fee $125.00 /hour each additional hour.
