<br />lots affected by two projects, the lot may receive two <br />assessments. However, the sum of the front footage assessed shall <br />not exceed that described above. <br /> <br />For all other improvements the front footage shall be the front <br />footage established for the smaller of the two sides of the lot. <br />Where the proposed improvement project is only along one side of a <br />corner lot the front footage established for that side shall be <br />used. <br /> <br />6. Service District <br />A service district is the area, as determined by the City Engineer <br />and approved by the City Council, which will receive benefit from <br />a proposed improvement project. This type of approach for <br />assessment purposes is typically used for trunk and subtrunk <br />sanitary sewer projects; trunk, subtrunk, source, storage and <br />treatment water projects; and trunk storm sewer and collector <br />street projects. <br /> <br />B. Genera 1 <br /> <br />1. Pet i t ion <br />Petition shall mean a written document presented to the City <br />Council for purposes of initiating a pUblic improvement project. <br />All signatures shall be accompanied by the address of each <br />signator, the date of the signature and a printing of each <br />signator's name.
