Downtown Storm Water Reclamation Project — Phase I <br />Contract C — Irrigation System Project <br />Project No. 000616-08167-3 <br />Bid Results <br />Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council: <br />Bids were opened for the Project stated above on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. For this Contract, the <br />base bid was simply for mobilization and erosion control. Alternate No. I was for the gun style irrigation <br />system and Alternate No. 2 was for the traditional irrigation system. The intent was to award the base <br />bid plus only one of the alternates. <br />Transmitted herewith is a copy of the Bid Tabulation for your information and file. Copies will also be <br />distributed to each Bidder once the Project has been awarded. There were a total of five Bids, The <br />attached table summarizes the results of the Bids received. <br />On the basis of the Base Bid plus Alternate No. 1 (Gun Style System), the low Bidder on the Project was <br />Albrecht Irrigation with a Total Base Bid Amount plus Alternate I of $52,500. On the basis of the Base <br />Bid plus Alternate 2 (Traditional System), the low bidder on the Project was also Albrecht Irrigation with a <br />Total Base Bid Amount plus Alternate 2 of $128,700. <br />The low bidder did not enclose with the bid a bid bond or other surety as required by the Contract. This <br />may or may not disqualify them from the bid. The City Attorney has been asked to review the situation <br />and can provide more detail to the Council. <br />If the City Council wishes to award the Project to the low Bidder, then Albrecht Irrigation should be <br />awarded the Project on the Total Base Bid Amount plus Alternate No. 1 (Gun Style System) of <br />$52,500 or on the Total Base Bid Amount plus Alternate No. 2 (Traditional System) of <br />$128,700. <br />Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (651) 604-4709. <br />Sincerely, <br /># �e 0 <br />Mark R.
