CALL TO ORDER. The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Wood. , 1. Roll Call � i II. PUBLIC INPUT/HEARING 1. Proposed amendment to Chapter 156, Section 156.025(R-3 Zoning District�High- Density Multi-Family Residential District) 2. Proposed ordinance amendment-City Code Chapter 156, Section 156.030 (B-1 Commercial Zoning District- Interim Uses. The Commission opened the public hearing to consider the proposed changes to City Code, Chapter 156, Sections 156.025 & Chapter 156, Section 156.030. No one was present to comment on the hearing matters. Motion bv Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Larson to close the public hearin� re�ardin� the proposed changes to Chapter 156, Sections 156.025 and 156.030. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. III. OLD BUSINESS. l. Comprehensive Plan-zoning issues-Proposed code amendments to facilitate changes to zoning as guided by the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. a. Amend Chapter 156, adding Section 156.025 (adding new R-3 Zoning District. Page 1 of 3 City of Ccnterville Planning and Zoning Commission March l, 2011 Meeting Minutes Motion bv Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Wekseth to approve the prepar findin�s and recommendation for Council adoption of proAosed chan�es to Chapter 156, Sections 156.025. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. b. Amend Chapter 156, Section 156.030 (Interim Uses in B-1 Zone) Motion by Commissioner Larson, seconded bv Commissioner Wood to approve the prepared findin�s and recommendation for Council adoption of proposed chan�es to Chapter 156, Sections 156.030. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 2. Update zoning to correspond with the Comprehensive Plan. a. Rl Changeto R-2 b. R-2 Change to R-3 c. R-2A Change to R-3 d. R-2 Change to M-2 e. I-1 Change to B-1 The Commission reviewed the list of properties that wi11 need to be rezoned to conform to the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. It was pointed out that the multi-family area known as Willow G1enn should be included in the areas that are rezoned to R-3. Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Mosher to approve to � call for public hearin� to be held on May 3, 20ll on the rezonings required to make � the properties in the areas identified comply with the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. All I in favor. Motion carried unanimously. IV. NEW BUSINESS. 1. Metropolitan Transit Parking Facility proposed far Lino Lakes. City Administrator Larson reviewed preliminary plans of Metropolitan Transit for a 300 car park and ride facility in Lino Lakes immediately east of 21 Avenue and north of Main Street. The Commission discussed traffic and access issues that will need to be addressed. V. DISCUSSION ITEMS Dallas Larson reminded Plannin & Zonin Commission to take on-line land use basics g g training offered by the League of Minnesota Cities. All present agreed to take the training. VI. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES Motion by Commissioner Larson, seconded bv Commissioner Wekseth to approve minutes from the February 1, 2011, meeting. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.
