We received a report that your business failed that check and permitted the sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor. The bartender involved was recently convicted of that violation. City Code establishes a presumptive civil penalty for liquor violations. The penalty for a first violation is $500 plus license suspension of five days. In order to afford you the opportunity for a hearing to prove that you /your employee(s) have not failed this compliance check, a Council meeting has been scheduled for June 12, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. If you choose to forgo the hearing and accept the penalty, please contact me. I have enclosed a copy of City Code, Chapter 111 and correspondence from the Centennial Lakes Police Department dated January 17, 2013, for your information. If you have any question or concerns regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Dallas Larson, City Administrator Enc. Cc: Kurt Glaser, City Attorney Teresa Bender, City Clerk
