CITY OF CENTERVILLE
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission held its regular
meeting on January 7, 2014, at 6:30 p.m.

I. CALL TO ORDER.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

V. NEW BUSINESS
1.Chain of Lakes – Bald Eagle Regional Trail Master Plan
This was primarily placed in your packet for review and if you desired to have comments
forwarded to the County it is believed that we still could provide them. The Mayor and several
members of the Parks and Recreation Committee attended this meeting.The Chair of Parks and
Recreation submitted suggestion regarding an alternate route for the trailway; however,
Administrator Larson feels that the proposed trailway is in the best interest of the City due to the
fact that the County will be applying for SHIP Grant funding similar to that of CSAH14 where the
City was reimbursed 50% of the costs associated with that trailway and it would be retro-active
even though the County’s proposed trailway would not be constructed for 10 years.

The information was placed in your packet for review and does not require any action. Some
highlights are that they are proposing a slightly higher population than 400 in 2040 with 385 more
households and 91 more jobs for 2040. These calculations and growth are subject to the economy.
2. Joint Council Work Session Scheduled for April 9, 2014 @ 7:00 p.m.
The Work Session with the Commission’s focus should be planning in nature and community
development goals.
VII. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
1. Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes of January 7, 2014
Motion by Commissioner , seconded by Commissioner to approve minutes from the
January 7, 2014, meeting. All in favor. Motion carried.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Koski to adjourn the meeting at
7:10 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried.
