Residential Driveways and Parking Ordinance Review
Over the past several years city staff has spent a considerable amount of time dealing with code compliance
issues surrounding residential driveways and parking. The attached sketches are meant merely as a starting
point for a larger discussion, with the end goal of a more refined and clear code that seeks to balance the needs
of residents with aesthetic, public safety and other concerns.
The short term goal for this discussion will be to better understand, in very simple terms, the commission's
thoughts on be parked, where. Once that reference point can be established, a more formal
approach to code modifications will be taken, including the development of a strategy to gain input from the
public.
