February 24, 2023
TITLE OF ISSUE:
ADA Equipment & Amazon Tree Planting Requirements/in Lieu of
BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Public Works Director Palzer has suggested that several vendors be invited to provide proposals for equipment or an all inclusive park
system. The Committee recommended Committee Member Freiermuth to work with Public Works Director Palzer previously with
several recommendations for stand-alone type equipment which would be additions to existing equipment.
Public Works Director Palzer has stated that several parks are in need of equipment updates with the potential for an all inclusive park
system for replacement of that same equipment.
During Development Agreement discussions, Amazon requested that the proposed amount of trees/shrubs be less than required and in
lieu of that requirement, they provided the Parks & Recreation Committee with $138,600 in funding.

Great, thank you!
Looking forward, can you identify several individuals who can help us narrow down the finalists and then
vote on the winners? Heidi and I can do this, if you are still able & willing. We should have 1 or 2 more.
These could be P&R members or other members of the community_
Vile will hold a video call the week of May Sth where we will narrow down the top 10 finalists, then do a web
voting on our own of the top 3 at each school.

Dear Lonni:
The prize amounts do not need to. be discussed at the meeting as the amounts were budgeted for 2023 and are the
same as last year.
I believe that the Committee just needs to be notified of the contest starting and other details. No motions need to
be made, just an update provided and you did great below.
Let me know the assistance that you need/want from me.
Sincerely,
