Your booth number is #10 and will be chalked on the asphalt prior to your arrival. The map depicts where vendors' vehicles can be parked, and we will allow each vendor the ability to drive to their respective booth for ease of unloading/loading of items prior to and following the market time. Set-up is from 4:30-5:30pm, take -down is from 7:30-8:30pm. We ask that you do not set-up/take-down outside of these times. We ask that vendors with trailers/cargo/box trucks arrive between 4:30-5:00pm so that you can position your vehicle/trailer prior to vendors that will be arriving with table(s)/tent, etc. that may be near you in the lineup. If you are utilizing a tent, please use some sort of weighting system so wind is not an issue. This is for your safety and your patrons. Inclement Weather Policy We will notify each vendor by 3pm the day of the event via email, telephone or both. We will also post cancellation via our Facebook page, the City's Facebook and Twitter pages. Questions/Comments/Suggestions • If there is a day that you are unable to attend the Market, please contact me with as much advance notice as possible at: 651-792-7933. • Comments or suggestions contact me. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions, provide safety services and assist you in your lineup for the event each evening of the Markets. Following the event, you will be provided with a short survey on whether your all-around experience of the event was good, where things could be improved upon and data on turnout, etc. We would request that you forward this survey back to us with whether you would participate again for the upcoming 2023 year. Get two 4" pieces of wooden doweling the size of a broom handle or a little larger. 2. Drive a stout nail into one end of each dowel. I Use a file to sharpen the nail heads to a point. 4. Drill a hole into the dowels (in the end opposite the nail) and tie a length of strong cord through the hole so a pick is on each end "jump -rope" fashion. You may also drill a hole in the ends alongside the nails so the nail on the other pick can nest in the hole, keeping both points covered. Keep the picks in your pocket for quick emergency. Tree Inventory — Mr. Paul Palzer, Public Works Mr. Palzer contacted Rainbow Tree Care to confirm their ability to complete a tree inventory of each of the City owned parks and what the cost would be. Rainbow Tree Care's Proposal includes the following: * To create an inventory of trees growing within the open areas of all parks including the City Hall/Fire City of Centerville Parks and Recreation Meeting Minutes December 7, 2022 Hall property; • To provide the location, species, tree size and condition; • To provide both the Tree Inventory and the Tree GIS/GPS data to the City upon completion which should be the Spring of 2023. The amount of this proposal is $2,230. Mr. Palzer believes that by obtaining this information that it would be helpful for future tree care, such as pruning, removal and replacement. He suggested that an additional inventory of the wooded areas be added at some point in the future to provide an overall tree count and species inventory which will aid in identifying a long-term sustainable tree plan. Motion made by Chairperson Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Seeley to recommend to Council Approval of a Phase I inventory of Open Park Area Trees - $2,230 as submitted. All in favor. Permit Application for Use of LaMotte Ballfields - Centennial Lakes Little League Mr. Patrick Mahr, President of the Centennial Lakes Little League, is requesting the use of the baseball and softball fields at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park beginning April 1, 2023 through September 30, 2023, Mondays through Friday, from 4:00 pm until dark, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. He indicated that a copy of the game schedules would be forwarded to the City Hall as soon as they are printed in April which would include a dragging agreement. Most of the fields used in 2022 were from Monday through Thursday and on Saturday and/or Sunday when practices were held. In addition, they are planning their annual park clean-up day for Saturday, April 15 with a backup date of April 22, 2023. Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Chairperson Errickson-Grahek to recommend to the City Council Approval of the Centennial Lakes Little League use of Ballfields at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park from April 1 through September 30, 2023 subiect to Submittal of Schedules. Skate Night(s) Committee Member Peterson indicated he would not be in attendance at the February event, but would be there in January.
