Not Approved MEETING I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at approximately 5:30 p.m. by President Remillard. II. ROLL CALL President Remillard called the roll. Interviews will be conducted in the next couple of weeks. ELECTIONS INFORMATION Absentee Voting (Envelope process/Early Voting) has commenced for the State Partisan Primary Election along with additional offices. Early voting can be accomplished by either requesting an Absentee Ballot from Anoka County Elections or appearing at City Hall. Voting hours at city hall are July 25, 2026-August 10, 2026 (7:30 a.m. Î 4:00 p.m.). You will be able to vote via Direct Balloting (Ballot is placed directly into the ballot counter) either at City Hall or Anoka County Elections Office during normal business hours. Outside of normal business hours, there will be Special Hours on Saturday, August 8, 2026, 9:00 a.m. Î 3:00 p.m. and Monday, August 10, 2026, 7:30 a.m. Î 5:00 p.m.). Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 7 a.m. Î 8 p.m. and CentervilleÓs polling place is located at St. GenevieveÓs Community Parish Center (Fellowship Hall), 6995 Centerville Road, Centerville, MN 55038. During the Primary, you must stay within Party lines, which means you vote solely within a party and there is no crossing of Party lines. Municipal Elections Affidavits of Candidacy will be accepted from Tuesday, July 14, 2026, during City Hall Hours: 7:30 a.m. Î 4:00 p.m. through Monday, July 27, 2026, and Tuesday, July 28, 2026, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Offices for which Affidavits of Candidacy will be accepted are Mayor (2 Year Term) 2027-2028; two Council Member seats (4 Year Term, 2027-2030); and one Council Member see (2 Year Term, 2027-2028ÏSpecial Election). The fee is $2. The Affidavit of Candidacy is available on the Secretary of States Office website or at City Hall. Affidavits must be notarized and the dates should coincide with July 14ÏJuly 28, 2026. Staff recommends that if you are interested in running for office, you stop by City Hall to obtain an Affidavit of Candidacy application packet. If you have any questions, please contact City Hall and ask for elections. RD CITY OFFICES CLOSED JULY 3 City offices will be closed July 3, 2026, in Observance of Independence Day. CITY COUNCIL FILLS BOARD VACANCY th The city council will swear in Kale Haluptzok at their July 9 meeting. Welcome Kale. PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION The Commission cancelled their July 7, 2026, meeting. PARKS & RECREATION At their July 1 meeting, the Committee discussed the LaMotte Park study that will begin soon. They also discussed a trail project that was recently approved in the cityÓs Capital Improvement Plan. The Committee also discussed park signs. th MUSIC IN THE PARK Î 18 Season Please join us for Music in the Park this summer. The schedule for this summer concert series is shown below. 18 Main Street Market will begin soon and last for six weeks. There is a great lineup of vendors (they change weekly) and there is still time for non-profits to sign up. PUBLIC WORKS Public Works crews are working on patching some of the streets in the NE side of town north of Main Street. Some of this patching includes attempting to smoothen and correct the freeze and thaw cycle damage that occurs over time. Thank you to residents as we try and complete this work. A reminder that there are watering restrictions in effect: City Ordinance states: (F) Water Supply Restrictions 19 (1) Restricted hours for sprinkling. Lawn and garden watering is prohibited between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. every year from May 1 through September 1 for all addresses on all days. This section shall apply only to those residents, and water source is connected to the city water system. Use of private wells is exempt from this section. (a) New lawn sod and/or lawn seed is exempt for two weeks after installation; residents may water both odd and even days with no watering from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (b) Residents whose address ends in an even number may water their lawns and gardens before 10:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. only on even-numbered days, and residents whose address ends in an odd number may water their lawns and gardens before 10:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. only on odd-numbered days. Public Works crews have opened up and trimmed trails, thank you for the trail patrons for their patience while some of this work is being completed. There will be a Park Study survey coming forward in the coming weeks for residents to participate in. City Public Works and Administrative staff are working with Oertel Architects to get the survey complete and out to various groups and residents. Please share your thoughts regarding Laurie Lamotte Memorial Park and what options for recreation you might like the city to consider.
