<br />Approved <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />STRATEGIC PLANNING WORK SESSION MEETING <br />MAY 16, 2026 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville City Council held a Strategic Planning <br />Work Session meeting at 8:00 a.m. in Council Chambers. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION MEETING <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />1. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor Nancy Golden <br />Councilmember Linda Broussard Vickers <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Anita Rios <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />STAFF: Administrator Athanasia Lewis <br />Finance Director Bruce DeJong <br />Public Works Director Charlie Lehn <br />City Clerk Teresa Bender <br /> <br />Mayor Golden called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. <br /> <br />II. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1. Session 1 – 2024-2025 Strategic Plan – Goals <br /> <br />Administrator Lewis reviewed the goals with council from 2024-2025. <br /> <br />Discussion was had regarding new goals, focus on action strategies for the new goals and implementation. <br /> <br />Administrator Lewis introduced a software package called Homerun Leadership® Innovation. Council <br />and staff participated in providing input regarding what was working well in the city, what was not <br />working well in the city and what to improve in the city. The process of obtaining input from the group <br />provided three top goals: Organizational Resilience; Fiscal Sustainability; and City Infrastructure. <br /> <br />Lengthy discussion regarding next steps for narrowing down action strategies, overlapping categories, <br />implementation and the necessity of an additional meeting. <br /> <br />2.
