STRATEGIC PLANNING WORK SESSION MEETING
MAY 16, 2026
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville City Council held a Strategic Planning
Work Session meeting at 8:00 a.m. in Council Chambers.
WORK SESSION MEETING
I. CALL TO ORDER
1. Roll Call
PRESENT: Mayor Nancy Golden
Councilmember Linda Broussard Vickers
Council Member Russ Koski
Council Member Anita Rios
ABSENT: None
STAFF: Administrator Athanasia Lewis
Finance Director Bruce DeJong
Public Works Director Charlie Lehn
City Clerk Teresa Bender
Mayor Golden called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
II. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION
1. Session 1 – 2024-2025 Strategic Plan – Goals
Administrator Lewis reviewed the goals with council from 2024-2025.
Discussion was had regarding new goals, focus on action strategies for the new goals and implementation.
Administrator Lewis introduced a software package called Homerun Leadership® Innovation. Council
and staff participated in providing input regarding what was working well in the city, what was not
working well in the city and what to improve in the city. The process of obtaining input from the group
provided three top goals: Organizational Resilience; Fiscal Sustainability; and City Infrastructure.
Lengthy discussion regarding next steps for narrowing down action strategies, overlapping categories,
implementation and the necessity of an additional meeting.

Council and staff felt that there was a clear understanding of the goals and felt encouraged for an
opportunity to meet again to continue their strategic planning.
III. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Golden adjourned the Work Session at 11:57 a.m.
