Park Signage Examples
BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
At the August 5, 2026 Park and Recreation Committee meeting, staff was directed to bring back color and
shape options for the Vacker manufactering signage that was reviewed during the meeting. The Vacker signage
option for park signs utilizes a High Density Propelene (HDPE) that resists fading and weathering, making the
product an ideal solution for outdoor long-term signage. Staff requests the Park and Rec. Comm. choose an
option for both color and sign shape to narrow down costs on proposed park signs. Staff will then be able to
work with Vacker staff to determine overall cumulative costs for both signage and posts. Staff will bring these
costs back at the October Park and Rec. meeting for further discussion.
COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING:
Capital Improvement Plan, 409 Equipment Replacement Fund
REQUESTED ACTION:
Provide staff direction on options for both sign colors and shape to determine more accurate pricing with
Vacker sign manufacturing.

TITLE OF ISSUE:
2026 & 2027 Capital Improvement Plan - Amenities (benches + picnic tables)
BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
The City's park system consists of eight parks. In each of these parks, there are benches and picnic tables in
certain quantities. Many of these benches and picnic tables are over 20 years old. Staff is recommending the
Parks and Rec. Committee review the attached report and inventory on such benches and tables. The 2026
Capital Improvement Plan has $10,000 allocated towards the purchase of new benches and picnic tables. Staff
is requesting the committee review cost and practicality of the attached exhibits, and provide staff direction on
the purchase of these items. The installation of these fixtures would occur in 2027. Staff is requesting the Park
and Rec. Comm. choose a bench and a table option for purchase in 2026. Staff will then purchase as many
fixtures as funding allows for a spring/summer install in 2027. Staff is requesting the committee discuss
purchasing options for the 2027 CIP.
