TITLE OF ISSUE:
Benches and Picnic Tables
BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
As benches and picnic tables in the city park system reach their usable longevity, replacement consideration
discussions have occurred by the Parks and Rec. Committee and staff to determine the next steps for purchasing
new fixtures. The attached estimate shows a combination of ten tables and five benches that would be included
in the $10,000 allocated in the CIP each year. Staff recommends making one purchase to avoid multiple freight
charges. The committee has selected ADA tables and Charleston-style benches for the Centerville park system.
The attached quote provides an approximate cost for possible inclusion in the CIP.

TITLE OF ISSUE:
Park Entrance Signage
BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Parks and Rec. Committee members and staff are continuing discussions and plans to purchase park entrance
signs for the eight parks within the city's park system. Vacker Sign in Roseville is the company that the
Committee has selected to produce the signs. Size, color, font and single-sidedness were previously selected.
Staff obtained a final estimate of approximately $15,000. The attached quote will provide a guide for CIP
allocation. Posts are approximately $50 per post, adding an additional $1,000 to the cost of signage installation.
Finally, mulch and fasteners will add an approximate $500- $700 to the project. The overall cost for improving
park entrance signage is approximately $17,000. This information is intended for final signage discussion.

TITLE OF ISSUE:
Laurie Lamotte Memorial Park Kiosk
BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
At the October 2026 Parks and Rec. Meeting, an inquiry was made about obtaining options for a kiosk in Laurie
Lamotte Memorial Park. Staff has researched two options. One option is a single-sided, standalone version that
allows manual additions for literature and advertising/information. A second option is to consider a digital-style
kiosk that is becoming popular at many informational dispersion sites. This second option would be applicable
should a new building be built at Laurie Lamotte Memorial Park. Staff encourages discussion regarding the two
options.

community partnership. CLL informed city staff of their desire to host two tournaments this summer. A
qualifier round from June 25-27th and a tournament July 29th-August 1st (the week after Fete-de-Lacs),
bringing many teams to the city. Staff is requesting fthat the Parks and Rec. Committee discuss the potential

TITLE OF ISSUE:
Laurie Lamotte Oertel Architects Park Study Concepts
BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
The Laurie Lamotte Memorial Park study was initiated in July of 2026 and both the study results and concepts
were presented at the October Parks and Rec. meeting. As determined by survey feedback, residents have
requested more options for bathrooms and park facilities at Laurie Lamotte Memorial Park. At the October
Parks and Rec. Committee meeting, staff from Oertel Architects presented options for potential park facility
buildings. Oertel staff have responded with one concept to an inquiry involving a potential dual usage for a
warming house and meeting room. The associated rendering demonstrates a room used as a warming house and
as a meeting room at other times. Staff is requesting feedback from the committee on the overall concept design
as presented.
