CITY OF CENTERVILLE
CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING
DECEMBER 8, 2004
5:30 p.m.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held a scheduled work session
meeting on December 8, 2004, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street.

Council Member Paar
Council Member Capra
Council Member Broussard Vickers
Council Member Lee

I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Sweeney opened the December 8, 2004, City Council work session meeting at
5:34 p.m.
II. LYNN & ASSOCIATES
Mr. Lynn addressed Council and requested that they review the presented profile and
advertisements for the City Administrator position.
Council discussed compensation in the form of a benefits package, contract, etc. Council
also discussed that other positions may have the potential of having a contract in the
future. Council chose to include the salary scale in the advertisements. Mr. Lynn stated
that a list of candidates would be forthcoming at the January 26, 2005 meeting.
Discussion ensued regarding relocation and Mr. Lynn stated that every attempt would be
made to keep the candidates from within the State of Minnesota.
Mr. Lynn addressed Council regarding the goal setting/team building work session with
Council and it was determined that same would take place in Council Chambers on
January 15, 2005. Council would recess for lunch outside of Council Chambers.
Council directed Ms. Bender to contact Ms. Lakso to inform her of the work session.

Mr. Lynn reminded Council that the February Council/Staff team building needed to be
scheduled.
Mr. Lynn thanked Council for their time.
The Mayor closed the December 8, 2004 work session at 6:08 p.m.
