At the December 9, 2002 Council Meeting, the preliminery plet was considered, with continuation
at this weeks Council Meeting I have a few engineering comments relative to the new plans
received on 12i1J9i02
1, Lot lines down the middle of the proposed twin home sites will be eliminated and new
drawings are needed shawing this change,
2. To provide water service tc this plat, it wili be necessary to extend water mains from two
directions. This work will be done as part of the Buckbee project, not a separate prvject as noted
on the Preliminary Utility Plan.
3. The existing sanitary manhole Invert elevation at the west entrance is 876.0, not 867.0.
4. Driveway turnarounds should be shown for all the twin homes that share a driveway.
5. Pond 1, as it is currently shown, will receive runoff from 1, 1.5 acres of backyerds along
the south side of the plat. If the pond is not sized for this ftow, then a grass swale should be
graded all along the south line to direct fiow west into a culvert under the new road and eventually
to the channel. To do this a temporary easement will be needed from 5 lots In the Peltier lake
Hills Addhion.
6. An inMration basin is shown adjacent to Pond 1. More detail will be needed as to how
this will work. The final plat will need to deSignate a lot line for future access to the to the basin
and Pond 1 for maintenance.

I am writing to request that you consider my appointment to the City ofCenterville's
Economic Development Committee (EDe).
My reasons for wishing to join this committee are fairly simple; I think it would be a
wonderful learning opportunity for myself and at the same time serve my community. I
would hope my experiences and work ethic would add value to the committee's work.
I have enclosed my professional resume for your review. Additional information you
may find pertinent is as follows;

My wife Pamela, my daughter Anna and I have been residents of Centerville since July of
1999. Anna attends school at Centerville Elementary, and Pamela works at the Northeast
YMCA as a fitness instructor and evaluator. I grew up in St. Paul and graduated from
Cretin High SchooL
I am currently a member of the White Bear Lake United Methodist Church, where I serve
as the Stewardship Campaign Chairperson. I also teach Sunday school and work as a
youth mentor.
I am also an active member in several professional associations including the American
Logistics Association (ALA), and Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA).
