CITY OF CENTERVILLE
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
August 4, 2009
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Planning and Zoning Commission held its regularly
scheduled meeting on August 4, 2009, at 6:30 p.m.

I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair D. Love called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.

III. PUBLIC HEARING
1. Comprehensive Plan 2030
No guests present.
Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Mosher, to close the
public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.

Mark Statz provided an update of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan and the changes sought by
Met Council. He again confirmed that the Met Council has approved the 2030
Comprehensive Plan given the noted changes.
Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Mosher, to recommend
council approval. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.
2. Metal Roofs
Mike Jeziorski provided amended language of the roofing ordinance. Commission
members indicated that they would like to know the research done in neighboring cities
and what exactly the wording of architectural metal roof sheeting means.
Motion by Commissioner Wood, seconded by Commissioner Mosher, to recommend
a public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried 5-1 with the only not in favor being
Commission member Pangell.
3. Pole Banners
Item tabled so City Staff has more time to do research pertaining to this item.

VII. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
1.July 7, 2009, Meeting Minutes
Motion by Commissioner Pangell, seconded by Commissioner Mosher, to approve the
July 7, 2009, minutes as presented. All in favor. Motion carried 5-1 with the only not
in favor being Commission member Wood.
VIII. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Commissioner Parruchi, seconded by Commissioner Mosher, to adjourn
the Meeting at 7:35 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously.
