PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING
TUESDAY - FEBRUARY 28, 1984
PRESENT: Walter Prachar, Chairman
Bob LaMotte Melvin Dupre
Elmer Murray Kathy Welk
ABSENT: Bob Lindgren Dan Tourville - arrived at 7:10 PM
Chairman Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Clerk read the public hearing notice on Amendment to Ordinance
#4, requesting reduction in lot sizes in sewered area from
100' frontage to 80' frontage reducing lots from 15,000 square
feet to 12,000 square feet. Members of P & Z voiced their
opinion on reduction. One member requested no change in lot
sizes at this time; remaining members would like lot size
reduction. Several members in audience voiced opinion:
1. Art Mohler, 1756 Peltier Lake Drive
2. Thomas Wilharber, 6849 Centerville Road
3. Charles Baumann, 6903 Centerville Road
4. Leon L'Allier, 1973 Main Street
No decision made by P & Z on matter. Motion by Tourville,
second by Dupre to adjourn hearing, motion carried. Hearing
adjourned at 7:45 FM.
Public hearing notice was read by clerk on variance request
at 8:00 PM. Public hearing is held on request by James Stevens,
7007 - 20th Avenue South for variance on Lot 8, Block 1,
Rehbein Estates to place a duplex on lot sized for single
family home.
Mr. Peter Buesseler, 7159 Shad Avenue commented on request
from audience and also letter he passed out to P & Z members.
David Lutz, 7170 Shad Avenue also voiced opinion. After
considerable discussion, motion by Tourville, second by
Welk to refer matter to City Council because P & Z could not
come to a conclusion and Mr. Stevens be allowed to appeal
to Council with request, motion carried.
Motion by LaMotte, second by Murray adjourn e

VARIANCE REQUEST
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning and
Zoning Board of the City of Centerville will
hold a public hearing on the 28th day of
February, 1984 in Centerville City Hall at
8:00 PM to consider a variance request on
Lot 8, Block 1, Rehbein Estates.
Anyone wishing to be heard on the above
matter should be in attendance at hearing.
