Chairman Baumann called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm.
Clerk read the public hearing notice on the rezoning request
of Rudy Tschida of Contract Design, Inc., copy is on file with
the clerk. Mr. Tschida answered questions on the proposed
building from the P & Z and the audience. Discussion followed
with the following residents voicing opinions:

Jackie L'Allier - 1973 Main Street
Des Englund - 7081 Brian Drive
Mike Lynch - 7245 Mill Road
Roy Mattson - A.R.E• - 7129 - 20th Avenue
John Trippel - Trippel's Market - 1801 Main Street
Pat Perro - 7122 Shad Avenue
Peter Keithly - 1979 Main Street
Russ Almendinger - 1305 Mound Trail
Susan Steigauf - 1433 Tenth Street - New Brighton (purchaser of
property on Shad Avenue)
Gerald Rehbein - 7046 Brian Drive
Gary Savela - 7254 Mill Road
Charles Cross - opinion as resident of Centerville
Chairman Baumann polled the P & Z for their opinion on the
rezoning request. Clerk verbally gave P & Z the opinion of the
City Engineer and City Planner. Motion by Cross, second by
Dupre that the P & Z recommend to the City Council that the
rezoning request be denied as requested and no change"'the zoning
NXXJXK be made, roll call taken: Cross, aye; Dupre, aye;
LaMotte, aye, Baumann, aye; motion carried.
Clerk read public hearing notice for the preliminary plat
presentation of PELTIER LAKE HILLS ADDITION #2. After considerable
discussion and discovering the plat is not in the sewered area
of Centerville, motion by LaMotte, second by Cross to postone
the public hearing on PELTIER LAKE HILLS ADDITION #2 until
Tuesday, June 2, motion carried. Postponement is suggested
to give the developer time to work out the situation of including
the plat in the sewer service area and also the matter of corner
lots in plat being undersized according to our ordinance.
P & Z held discussion with Mike Lynch of 7245 Mill Road on his
becoming a member of the committee. Motion by LaMotte, second
by Dupre to recommend to the City Council the appointment of
Mike Lynch to the P & Z committee, motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 9:15 pm.
