PLANNING AND ZONING MEETING - TUESDAY - APRIL 7, 1981 - 7:00 PM

Preliminary plat hearing was held on Wegleitner's Addition.
Presentation was made by Wegleitner on plat, P & Z discussed
letters of recommendation on plat from City Planner and City
Engineer. After considerable discussion, motion was made
by Cross, second by Murray to accept the preliminary plat
of WEGLEITNER'S ADDITION contingent upon the drainage plan
being accepted by Rice Creek Watershed District, also that
a drainage easement joins the back of Lot 5, Block 1 into
Lot 1, Block 2 and that drainage easement should be 20'
onto the proposed Gardner Estates property, and recommendation
that Anoka County Highway Department be contacted but
not be contingent upon approval, motion carried.
Harold Rivard of 7046 Centerville Road appeared before P &Z
with request for variance to Ordinance 10. Mr. Rivard
has removed his garage adjacent to his house and proposes
to build a new one on the existing slab. The new garage
dimensions are 26 x 28 and therefore is only 19' from his
property line on Heritage Street. Motion by Dupre, second
by LaMotte to recommend granting a variance to Ordinance
#10, Section I, II Residential (E) -Front Yard Requirements,
motion carried.
Mr. Rudy Tscida of Contract Design, Inc., appeared before
P & Z with sketch of building he proposes to build in
Centerville. The building size would be 96 x 130 and
set back 64' from the property line on Main Street. The
firm is a tool and die, plastic molding shop. Discussion
on proposed building held and P & Z consensus was favorable.
Mr. Tschida will be appearing in front of City Council
on the 8th of April with his preliminary sketch of building.
Mr. Terry Elkin appeared before P & Z with questions on
lot 1, Block 2, Peltier Hills Addition.
Next r & meeting will be work session on ordinances,
April 21st.
