HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-12-06 Minutes Planning & Zoning Meeting Tuesday, December 6, 1977 7:00 PM Present: Bob LaMotte, Chairman Bob Lindgren Mel Dupre Jerry Sundberg Tom Wilharber Walter Prachar, liaison Clarence Smith of Amenity One, Inc., made presentation on his company's qualifications as an urban and regional planner, park planning projects, drawing up new zoning regulations, and updating land use controls. Matter will be turned over to City Council for advisement. Ray Murray, Joe Perkowski and Frank Zimny appeared before P & Z with reference to becoming eligible for participation on the board in 1978. John Peterson appeared before committee with preliminary sketch of his plat centered around Mill Road and Main Street. Plat covers approximately 28 acres. P & Z looked at land for park dedication, possibly phasing of portions of plat over the next few years and recommending that the double bungalows shown on the plat be called multiple dwellings. John will appear at next P & Z meeting on December 20th for further consideration. Bob LaMotte requested the P & Z to look at his property on Heritage Street, which is 3 lots, centered by his house which he would like a variance granted. Mel Dupre recommended that a variance be granted on Ordinance #15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the following piece of property: PLAT 27853 - Parcel 2545 - Part of Lot 15, Auditor's Sub - Division No. 48 Revised described as follows: That part of Lot 15, Auditor's Subdivision No 48 commencing at a point where Northerly line of Lot 15 intersects westerly line of right of way of Anoka County State Aid Road No 4; thence westerly 6 yards along northerly line of said Lot 15 a distance of 350 feet; thence southerly and at right angles to said northerly line of said Lot 15 a distance of 125 feet; thence easterly and parallel to northerly line of Lot 15 a distance of 350 feet; more �r less to westerly line of Anoka County right of way of State Aid Road No. 4; thence northerly along westerly line of said right of way a distance of 125 feet to point of commencement.- except west 8 feet of above description and part of lot 15 Auditor's Subdivision No 48 revised described as follows: that part of Lot 15 Auditor's Subdivision No 48 described as follows; commencing at NE corner of said Lot 15; thence southerly along east line of said Lot 15 225 feet; thence west at right angles 200 feet to point of the land to be conveyed; thence continuing west at right angles 142 feet to a point; thence North at right angles 130 feet to a point; thence east at right angles 142 feet to a point; thence south at right angles 130 at to the point of beginning. fect I _2, Variance will be granted because the property is not a large enough piece practical to plat and no opportunity to expand. Tom Wilharber seconded the recommendation, motion carried. Bob LaMotte made a recommendation to investigate Amenity One, Inc., further for the council consideration. Bob LaMotte made a motion to adjourn meeting, Mel Dupre seconded it, motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:10 pm. Mr. LaMotte had on December 6 requested the Planning and Zoning Board to look at survey of his property on Heritage Street which consists of three lots, centered by his house. Mel Dupre recommended that a variance be granted on Ordinance #15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the following,piece of property: PLAT 27853- PARCEL 2545- Part of Lot 15, Auditor's Subdivision No. 48 Revised described as follows: That part of Lot 15, Auditor's Subdivision No. 4e commencing at a point where Northerly line of Lot 15 intersects westerly line of right of way of Anoka County State Aid Road No. 4; thence westerly 6 yards along northerly line of said Lot 15 a distance of 350 feet; thence southerly and at right ankles to said northerly line of said Lot 15 a distance of 12.5 feet; thence easterly and parallel to northerly line of Lot 15 a distance of 350 feet; more or less to westerly line of Anoka County right of way of State Aid Road No. 4; thence northerly along westerly line of said right of way a distance of 125 feet to point of commencement. - except west 8 feet of above description and part of Lot 15 Auditor's Sub- division No. 48 revised described as follows: that part of Lot 15 Auditor's Subdivision No. 4d described as follows: commencing at NE corner of said Lot 15; thence southerly along east line of said Lot 15 225 feet; thence west at right angles 200 feet to point of the land to be conveyed; thence North at right angles 130 feet to a point; thence east at right angles 142 feet to a point; thence south at right angles 130 feet to the point of beginning. John Peterson made a motion to grant the variance for the property described above, Leon L'A11ier seconded it, motion carried.
