The purpose of the hearing was to hear all persons present
regarding a request for a variance from Ordinance #4, Section
34.06 - AMOUNT OF YARD OCCUPIED. - A detached accessory building
not over one story and not exceeding twelve (12) feet in height
may occupy not to exceed ten (10) percent square footage of the
area of any rear yard. The request for variance is to construct
a 26 x 30 detached garage exceeding ten (10) percent square
footage of the area of the rear yard. The property is legally
described as Lot 2, Block 1 - Royal Meadows.
Due to an error by the Quad Community Press in the publication of
the legal notice the Public Hearing was not called to order_
The Planning and Zoning Commission discussed with Curt Burn, 7169
West Robin Lane, his request for variance.
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Planning and Zoning
Commission held their regular meeting on Tuesday, November 10,
1992 at the City Hall. Chairperson Tourville called the meeting
to order 7:40 p.m. Present: Drilling, LaMotte, Vermeulen, Welk_
MINUTES
Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to approve the October 13,
1992 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Request for Variance - 7169 West Robin Vane
Motion by Vermeulen, second by Welk to move the Public Hearing
for the Curt Burn's request for variance to build a detached
accessory building exceed ten (10) percent square footage of the
rear yard to the City Council level and direct Gunnar Pettersen,
Building Inspector, to investigate the garage size in the Royal
Meadows development as it relates Ordinance #4, Section 34.06 -
AMOUNT OF YARD OCCUPIED, motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Drilling, second by Vermeulen to republish the public
hearing notice for the variance request of Curt Burn, 7169 West
Robin Lane, and reschedule the public hearing for the December 9,
1992 City Council meeting, motion carried unanimously_
OLD BUSINESS
Review of Ordinance #4, Article 7
Motion by Tourville, second by Drilling to table discussion of
Ordinance #4, Article 7 until the next meeting, motion carried
unanimously.

Flood Plain Ordinance Amendment
Chairperson Tourville requested City Staff to include copied of
an update Flood Plain Ordinance to include all amendments in the
next packet.
ADJOURN
Motion by Drilling, second by Vermeulen to adjourn the meeting,
motion carried unanimously_ Meeting adjourned 8:35 p.m_
