P &R invited March to cover any issues since he was new.
March disgussed the following:
Lighting proposal from N.S.P. Liked the rate being proposed. Motion by Larson.
Seconded by Johnson to install light, per Paul Palzer recommendation. Motion carried
unanimously.
Park acquisition; March explained the survey received. March pointed out the boundary
that is ambiguous and the letter from the Attorney to consider title insurance.
Willow Glen; a new development concept coming, before P &Z . The P &R respectively
requested city authorities to consider the need for open space.
OTHER BUSINESS:
P &R reviewed the June 28, 1996 revised Eagle Park layout. There's great concern about
the placement of the park on the north side. Concern from the prospect of drainage.
There appears to be a lot of wetland. A point of 911ft appears on the east side, yet where
the tennis courts are on the west side show an elevation of 909ft., where or how is water
to drain?
Rick briefed the group on the proposals made by Lino Lakes. to provide a recreation
program. Rick will review informally.
Discussion concerning the number of committee members on P &R board. Some members
of the committee felt P &R should be reduced from 7 to 5 members. In order to fully
consider the proposal:
a) City staff is directed to send written notification to Carol Pelton and Bill Biesk to
determine their continued interest.
b) Based on their action, this should be placed on the agenda for September.
Fees for the use of city owned appliances. Fogarty will develop a usage fee schedule
for the September Meeting.
