Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Centerville Park and
Recreation Committee held their regular meeting on January 9,
1990 at City Hall. Present: Dixon, LeTendre. There was not a
quorum. There was no call to order.
Also present was Mayor George Haberman.
A discussion was held on the proposed trailway connecting
Centerville Road to the north to the school property. A trail
from L "Allier Estates over Clearwater Creek was also discussed.
Letters will be drafted to adjoining property owners to get their
feelings on this.
Dixon and LeTendre made a recommendation to the City Council to
approve the proposed trailway connecting Centerville Road, to the
north, to the school property.
Purchase of a trailer for hauling equipment was tabled.
Request for monies from the Columbus Lions was discussed. Dixon
will be contacting the Columbus Lions so that the Park and
Recreation members may attend a meeting.
Park and Trail Dedication fees were discussed.
Dixon and LeTendre would recommend to the City Council a Trail
Dedication Policy of $550.00 per dwelling unit for Park
Dedication fees, and $150.00 per dwelling unit for Trail
Dedication fees.
A discussion on hockey sticks on the pleasure skating rink. It
was decided that hockey sticks could not be used on the pleasure
skating rink.
