Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting
on Wednesday, October 7, 1992 at the City Hall. Acting
Chairperson Larson called the meeting to order at 6:37 p.m.
Present: Navin, Reisdorfer. Absent: Dixon, Drilling.
MINUTES
Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer to approve the September 2,
1992 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
Proposed Acorn Creek Development - Park Land Dedication - Gerald
Rehbein
Gerald Rehbein, Developer of the proposed Acorn Creek
Development, was present and noted he checked out the available
vacant land by Acorn Creek and the property owners appear to want
to much for the land. Mr. Rehbein stated that he is looking at
other land now that the Park and Recreation Committee may be
interested in. Thus, the Park and Recreation Committee will
table this issue until next week. Mr. Rehbein will call the Park
and Recreation Committee with anything new.
Tights at Hockey Rink
At this point, Chairperson Dixon contacts have not called to talk
with Committee member Larson.
Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer, for Committee member
Larson to directly call Chairperson Dixon's contacts to get bids,
as soon as possible, and call a special meeting once the bids are
received, motion carried unanimously.
Trash Cans
Committee member Larson noted the cans have been placed in the
parks. Committee member Larson will check to see if he can get
more
Animal Control
Committee member Larson will check into the price of having signs
made up, since nothing has been done up to this point.
Sooner Fields
Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Larson to have the City Clerk
advise as to the status of the soccer field for discussion at our
next meeting, motion carried unanimously.
Hot Dog Shack
It was noted that the axle needed bearings. The replacement of
the axle bearings was taken care of by Committee member Larson.
The Public Works Department is continuing to work on the shack.
It is hoped the work will be completed within two weeks.

NEW BUSINESS
Cente ' le r -- -ri Fu,. Raise
Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer to have Committee member
Navin write a letter to the Centerville Tree Farm for approval to
have the concession stand at the Centerville Tree Farm again this
season, motion carried unanimously.
1992/1993 Rink Attendants
Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Navin for the City Clerk to run
ads in the local papers for holiday rink attendants, the same ad
as last year should be run, motion carried unanimously.
Centennial Youth Hockey Association - Request for Hockey Rink-
Four Niehts per Week (Sunday - Thursday) from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00
Motion by Navin, second by Reisdorfer to direct City Staff to
write a letter to the Hockey Association telling them the Park
and Recreation Committee will make its decision at their November
4, 1992 meeting in order to give other parties who have expressed
interest in also using the rink to express their desired times;
also advising them that the Park and Recreation
Committee will require all parties using the facilities
to help with the flooding for the year,
motion carried unanimously.
ADJOURN
Motion by Navin, second by Larson to adjourn the meeting, motion
carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned 7:35 p.m.
