Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting
on Tuesday, February 12, 1991 at the City Hall. Chairperson
Dixon called the meeting to order at 7;05 p.m. Present:
Drilling, Reisdorfer, LeTendre. Absent; Downing.
Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to approve the January 15,
1991 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
EARYLLAND_ MB. JOSEPH MO_O_RE
Mr. Joseph Moore, 7353 20th Avenue North, was not able to attend,
but his daughter-in-law Diane Moore did, Joe Moore owns ten
acres, and Donald and Diane Moore own ten acres, The Park and
Recreation Committee presented a general idea of what park land
they would like to acquire.

The Park and Recreation Committee had no additions at this time
The Park and Recreation Committee requests maPs of the City of
Centerville and a copy of the Comprehensive Flans for each
member. They also would like to have Plans from developers as
they come up. The Park and Recreation Committee would like to
have the most current map of the City of Centerville available
with areas marked off that have been purchased for development,
industrial, all housing, etc. Member LeTendre will contact Lino
Lakes for their plans for trails and Dark, Member Reisdorfer
will make up a reviewal of what the Park and Recreation Committee
has planned so far with parks and trails for the next meeting,

The cost to complete the rubber matting for the entire building
at Centrdl Dark will be f=prsovimatelv $4.000.00, Chairperson
Dixon and Member LeTendre will request the money from the City
Council.

It was noted that there is no concessions at Central Park at this
time.
RECRFATTONAL JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
The Park and Recreation Committee did not have any questions at
this time regarding Lino Lakes" withdrawal from the Recreational
Joint Powers Agreement.
Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to continue with the
Recreational Joint Powers Agreement with the cities of Circle
Pines and Lexington with a part time employee, motion carried
unanimously.

It appeared to be the general consensus of the Park and
• Recreation Committee that there was nothing that they could do
additionally, but request the Clerk /Administrator to make the
police become aware of the problem.

Member Drilling will call the cities of Circle Fines and
Lexington to find out who is in control of the warming house
legally in their respective cities.
The Park and Recreation would like to know exactly whose
responsibility legally it is to:
- Follow up on complaints;
- Hire, fire, investigate, manage rink help and make sure
duties are done on a day to day basis.
After clarification, the Park and Recreation Committee will write
the personnel policy regarding rink attendants.
The Park and Recreation Committee noted the following in regard_:
to the complaint regarding the rink attendant, and where the Park
and Recreation Committee was told to fire the employee, The Park
and Recreation Committee went one step further and investigated
the circumstances and found that the rink attendant was wrongly
accused, in their opinion.

PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS

Chairperson Dixon did investigation. The tractor was broken.
Dale Larson, Public Works Employee, removed the gas tank. When
the tractor was repaired the gas tank was returned.
The Park and Recreation would like to add to rink policy that the
attendants should call City Hall if they are low on gas.

Motion by LeTendre, second by Reisdorfer to adjourn the meeting,
motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned 8:50 p.m.
