Committee of the City of Centerville held their regular meeting
on Tuesday, January 8, 1991 at the City Hall. Chairperson Dixon
called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present: LeTendre,
Reisdorfer. Absent: Drilling, Downing.
Motion by Dixon, second by LeTendre to approve the December 11,
1990 meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously.
QJ.D BUSINESS
Park Equipment at Water Tower Park
Motion by Reisdorfer, second by Dixon to table discussion of park
equipment at the Water Tower Park until their next regularly
scheduled meeting, motion carried unanimously.
Video Tane "Loss Control & Risk Management for Municipal
Festivals & Special Events
The video tape on "Loss Control & Risk Management for Municipal
Festivals and Special Events" will be passed between members of
the Park and Recreation Committee for viewing.
Water Tower Park - No Unauthorised Vehicle" signs •
Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, was present. Mr. Hughes
stated the No Unauthorized Vehicle" signs are in, and that he
will have the Public Works Department put them up.
City Celebration
Committee member LeTendre will look into the status of the City
Celebration.
Appreciation Certificates
An Appreciation Certificate will be sent to the Russell
Almendinger, Centerville Tree Farm, in appreciation for letting
the Park and Recreation Committee have a concession stand for
fund raising at the Tree Farm.

Committee member Downing volunteered at the previous meeting to
be the Park and Recreation Committee representative.
NEW BUSINESS
Appearance
Orville Hughes. Public Works Director
Mr. Hughes informed the Park and Recreation Committee of the
following:
The Park and Recreation Committee must inform the
Clerk /Administrator when they want her to give him
direction, they should not wait for the
Clerk /Administrator to read the meeting minutes;
The culvert at the Water Tower Park was originally
planned to be used at the park. It will be removed in
the future;

- Mr. Hughes has fixed the drive shaft on the
tractor /broom;
- The lock box was installed at Central Park;
- The bathrooms at Central Park are not being cleaned by
the rink attendants. Chairperson Dixon will discuss
this will the rink attendants;
- Mr. Hughes will place a container in the warming house
at Central Park for recycling aluminum cans.
Central Park Rubber Matting
Chairperson Dixon will obtain more information and quotes for
additional rubber matting throughout the Central Park building.
Conc at Central Park
Chairperson Dixon will organize and instruct the rink attendants.
Complaint - Central Park
Regarding the incident at the Central Park skating rink when an
individual walked home barefoot, Chairperson will talk with Matt
Brewster, Rink Attendant, and then handle the situation
accordingly.
Adjourn
Motion by Reisdorfer, second by LeTendre to adjourn the meeting,
motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned 8 :05 p.m.
