ETHICAL STANDARDS RESOLUTION
WHEREAS the City C uncil of the City of Centerville met at City
Hall on March 14 990;

to adopt an et 1 al standards lution;
BE IT HER Y SOLVED t while performing duties for the City
of Gen ervi le of in the naa e of the City of Centerville the
general y a cepted c -th'cs shall be used by all staff personnel
and a ontract -. o :signed personnel. This is to include all
perso , irms, qu ses, cor rations, or other entities given
autho to speak n the na e of the City of Centerville or
p fo m duties £.he City o Centerville.
BE I ALSO RESOL (D tha y contracted or assigned person, firm
r o her entity no in ding staff, who chooses to perform in
t e name of the City of Centerville, other than in generally
accepted ethical st.rdar s shall assume the responsibility of
their actions and be liable for any damages or settlements
resulting from the. actions.
BE IT RESOLVED that his resolution is not for the purpose of
preventing or inhibiting normal operations of City staff or
persons assigned to conduct business for the City but is to
protect the liability of the City of Centerville from illegal and
unethical actions by persons assigned to perform duties for the
City or in the name of the City.

Resolution" proposed by Mayor Haberman? The City Council would

My comment would be whether or not Council members should also be
included in addition to staff personnel and all contracted or
assigned personnel.
