CITY OF CENTERVILLE
PARK AND RECREATION C4MMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
TUESDAY, JUNE 3, 1997
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of
Centerville held their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at City Hall. Chairperson Richard
Thompson called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.

SuBmittal af Surveys and LaMotte Park Update
Mr. March presented a LaMotte Park Update. A Public Hearing is set for Tuesday, June 24,
1997. Mr. March will ask Anoka County Parks to send a representative to attend the Centerville
Park and Recreation Public Hearing. Mr. March reported Mr. Nyberg estimated $150,000, to
grade LaMotte Park. Items requested: wet land, an updated map, access to Centerville Road, soil
boarings and property easements.
Eagle Pass Update -
No information provided.
Current status of North Metro -
MOTION by Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Navin to request City Staff to contract Centennial

Community Services regarding refunds to City of Centerville and city fees, assets and family
program fees. Contact name and number provided.
Rink -
The Park and Recreation Committee requested City Staff get proposals for correcting the rink
problems; frost heaved post and building and any other problems Paul Palzer, Public Works
Director/ Building Official, sees on site.
