Bid Results
Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council:
Bids were opened for the Project stated above on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Transmitted herewith
is a copy of the Bid Tabulation for your information and file. Copies will also be distributed to each
Bidder once the Project has either been awarded or bids have been rejected.
There were a total of five Bids. The attached bid tabulation summarizes the results of the Bids received.
Looking at the total Bid with all alternates, the re -bid of the project resulted in a savings of approximately
$87,000. The scaled back scope of the core project resulted in a Base Bid approximately $184,000 lower
than the previous bid.
Because of the pricing of some alternates, the low bidder may be different depending on the alternates
awarded. We have summarized the total cost for several scenarios, below. The summary takes into
account the change in low bidders.

If the City Council wishes to award the Project to the low Bidder, then Veit & Company, Inc. or Dresel
Contracting, Inc. should be awarded the Project on the Total Base Bid, or Total Base Bid plus
Alternates, in the corresponding amount as shown above depending on which alternates are
chosen.
