CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-17 <br />25 November 1996 <br />WHEREAS, the Gem Lake Planning Commission, City Engineer and City Planners have spent considerable <br />time, effort and municipal resources over the last two years updating the City's Comprehensive Municipal <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the development of the Comprehensive Municipal Plan is, as of the date first written above, <br />essentially complete; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the residents of Gem Lake and adjacent communities, the Gem Lake <br />City Council, Planning Commission and City Planners to have said plan reviewed by adjacent communities <br />and the Metropolitan Council and to solicit their insights and opinions regarding the plan; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does hereby <br />authorize the City Planner to forward the most recent draft of the Comprehensive Municipal Plan to the <br />Metropolitan Council as well as the cities of White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights and White Bear Township <br />accompanied by correspondence seeking their comments regarding the Plan; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council requests that said opinions and comments be <br />forwarded to the City Planner, Mr. Randall Thoreson, at Short Elliott and Hendrickson at the earliest possible <br />date so that revisions .to the plan, if any, resulting .from comments by neighboring communities may be <br />incorporated as necessary prior to final adoption by the City. Council. <br />
