MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />28 March 1994 <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE NO. 64 <br />A Public Hearing was convened at 7:07 p.m. by Mayor Emeott on <br />28 March 1994 in the meeting room ❑f Tousley Ford, 1493 East County <br />Road E. Gem Lake, Ramsey, Minnesota 55110 as advertised on 23 March <br />1994 in the White Bear Press, the City's ❑fficial publication. The <br />purpose of the hearing was to receive public comment on Proposed <br />Ordinance No. 64, AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE OPERATION OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM. <br />In attendance were: Mayor Emeott, Councilmembers Nielsen, <br />Birkebak, McPhillips, and Igo, Treasurer Nordstrom, and Clerk <br />Magnuson. Also in attendance were Gern Lake residents Rick Bosak, <br />Keith Klemz, Giovanna Leiep, Tony Carlson, Gordon Kordosky and Vern <br />Grundhofer. <br />The Clerk then presented a copy of the legal publication <br />notifying the public of the City Council's intention to convene a <br />public hearing, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br />The Clerk further stated that 2 phone calls and no written <br />correspondence relative to the matter had been received. <br />In opening remarks, Mayor Emeott stated the purpose of the <br />hearing andmade brief remarks regarding the history of the <br />Proposed Ordinance, it's purpose, and it's requirements. Mayor <br />Emeott then presented an overview of the Proposed Ordinance, a copy <br />of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "B". Following the outline. <br />of his over•'view, Mayor Emeott then detailed the specific <br />requirements of the Proposed Ordinance and made copies of same, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit "C" available to those present. Mayor <br />Emeott then presented City Council Resolution No. 94-07, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto as Exhibit "D". <br />Following Mayor Emeott's presentation, questions were <br />addressed. The primary misconception was that the Proposed <br />Ordinance would require installation of City Sewer to all parts of <br />the City. The Clerk responded stating that the Proposed Ordinance <br />updated and consolidated previously enacted ordinances, provided <br />for operation of the current system, and offered guidelines for <br />installation or expansion of the sewer system in the future. <br />There being no further comment, the public hearing was <br />adjourned at 7.:40 p.m. <br />DATED: 29 March 1994. <br />Frederic C.
