SECTION 4: DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL SANITARY <br />SEWER SYSTEM. <br />4.1 General Operation <br />4.1(1) The entire Municipal Sanitary Sewer System, operated by the City of Gem Lake <br />shall be operated as a public utility and convenience from which revenues will <br />be derived. It is recognized that this sewer system might be available to only <br />portions of the city, and that it will serve only where private sewage disposal <br />systems are unavailable or impractical. The Municipal Sanitary Sewer System <br />operated by the City of Gem Lake exists to serve the users of the system who <br />have connected to this system. It is expected that the users of the system shall <br />pay for its construction, maintenance, any rebuilding or repairing needed and its <br />operation. <br />4.2 Connection Required <br />4.2(1) Any buildings used for human habitation or use and located on property adjacent <br />to a municipal sewer main, or in an area through which the system extends, shall <br />be connected to the Municipal Sanitary Sewer System within one (1) year from <br />the time a connection is available to any such property. All buildings constructed. <br />on property adjacent to a municipal sewer main or in an area through which such. <br />system extends, shall be provided with a connection to the Municipal Sanitary <br />Sewer System for the disposal of all human wastes. Section 4.3 Use of certain <br />buildings restricted <br />4.2(2) No person, firm or corporation shall use any building, nor allow any other person. <br />to use such building, which building is not connected to the Municipal sanitary <br />sewer- system as required by section 4.2 of the Ordinance. <br />4.3 Use Of Certain :buildings Restricted <br />4.3(1) No person, firm: or corporation shall use any building, nor allow any other person <br />to use such building, which building is not connected to the Municipal Sanitary <br />Sewer System as required by Section 4.2 of the Ordinance, <br />4.4 Types Of Wastes Prohibited <br />4.4(1) Except as herein provided, it shall be unlawful to discharge any of the following <br />described materials into the Municipal sanitary sewer system. <br />4.4(l)a Any Iiquid or vapor having a temperature higher than one -hundred fifty <br />(150°F) degrees Fahrenheit. <br />4.4(1)b Any water or waste containing more than 100 parts per million of <br />weight of fat, oil or grease. <br />4.4(1)c. Any gasoline, benzene, naphtha, fuel oil or other inflammable or <br />explosive liquid, solid or gas. <br />3 <br />
