CITY Or GEM LAKE <br />MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JULY, 2004 <br />The: July_ 2004 meeting of the .City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to order by Mayor ksmeott on <br />Wednesday, 14 July 2004, at 9:02 PM in the first floor meeting room ofTousley Ford. Mayor.Cnteott, Councilors "Bosak, <br />lgb; aim Watson, Clerk Magnuson,.: City Engineer Parotti, Special Traffic Engineer Sohrweide, Planning Commission <br />Chairman Iloeschler, members of the McNuIty/Hillary Farm development team and several residents of Geni Lake. <br />Following Mayor Emeott'.s request for additions; deletions, or corrections,• the following actions were taken: 1) <br />unanimous approval of the Minutes for the 21. June.2004. Public Hearing:on the addition of the sanitary sewer system <br />north of Kahl'.Circle: as presented. °n'Motion by Igo; Second by Watson; 2) unanimous appi-oval of City Council Meeting <br />Minutes for 21 June 20.04 as presented. on Motion by.igo, Second by Bosak;. and; 4) unanimous approval of the •City <br />Council Meeting Agenda as amended fiir 14 July 2004 on Motion by Igo; Second•by Watson. <br />Magnuson then presented•General Announcements. <br />Magnuson. then noted a Public Hearing will be held on 03 August2004 on an Application For Interim Use Permit <br />by Launderville to operatea.towing storage lot on Lots 17, 18 & 19 ofSwminiit Farm Homesites owned by Bryan l-lansen- <br />Relative:.to developing the 'property, Magnuson has asked Parotti for a written statement ofrequireinents regarding the <br />ditch between :Leuthard and Hansen. <br />Magnuson reported Nelson Marine has failed to:provide additional information required for their Application. For <br />An Interim Use Permit to allow open storage of boats on the Summit Mini Storage property. Motion by Igo,. Second by <br />Bosak to :deny the Application on the grounds that the applicant has failed. to .provide required information for the <br />application was unanimously approved: <br />Public Safety agendaitems were tabled to August. <br />Motion by Watson, Second byBosak toadoptResolutionNo. 2004-10 accepting the turn hack ofScheuinentan Road <br />with conditions was unanimously approved. <br />Theresults of the Planning Commission meeting regarding the designcharacteristics for rebuilding Sclieuneinan <br />Road post installation Of the sanitary sewer system were reviewed, discussed and the Clerk was authorized to poll the <br />Council within one week to finalize criteria and report same to the City Engineer. <br />E3rief discussion of McNulty's entrance design followed with no action taken. <br />Motion by Bosak, Second by Watson to approve Resolution No. 2004-13 adopting proposed amendments to <br />Ordinance No. 640 as recorniended by the Planning Commission. was Unanimously:approved and Ordinance No. 64E <br />was Ordered enacted upon publication by a vote of:4 Aye, O'Nay, 0 Abstain and 1 Absent; <br />Motion by Bosak, Second by Watson to approve .Resolution No, 2004- I4 adoptingproposed amendments to <br />Ordinance No. 67 as reconimended by the Planning Commissioni was uaianirnously approved and Ordinance No. 67B <br />was ordered:enacted Upon publication by a vote of.4 Aye, 0 Nay, 0 Abstain and 1 Absent. <br />Magnuson then noted Accounts Payable hadbeen overlooked .for .signatures and asked the Council to approve same <br />upon presentation at each Councilors home within one week.: Motion by Igo, Second. by Bosak to alloy approval of <br />accounts payable upon review within one week by Councilors and to accept the July Treasurer's Report as prepared by <br />Cobian .and indicating a balance its the General fund. of S82;52I.44 and in the Sewer Fund of $.17,885.94 was <br />unanimously approved. <br />The. next meeting of the Gem Lake: City Council is scheduled for 16 August 2004. The Gem Lake Planning <br />Commission will hold a Public Hearing on the .Latinderville matter at 7:00 PM followed by their regular meeting ; on 03 <br />August 2004.. <br />
