Lake, MN <br />Resolution No. 20..09: -- 02 <br />•February 1.0, 2009 <br />A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY TREASURER TO PAY FIXED, <br />CONTRACTUAL AND EMERGENCY EXPENSES AS RECEIVED. <br />WHEREAS the City of Gem Lake has entered into a contractual agreement for city <br />services in order for the city to carry out its business; <br />WHEREAS utility companies and other routine service providers present bills for <br />payment throughout the rnonth to the City for payment; <br />WHERAS the City Council only meets once a month to authorize payment of claims; <br />WHEREAS the City loses opportunities to save rnoney through early -payment discounts <br />or by avoiding late -payment fees by requiring these bills to wait for approval of claims at <br />the Council meetings; <br />NOW, THEREOFRE, BE IT RESOLVED. that the City Council of Gem Lake,:. Ramsey <br />County, Minnesota hereby authorizes its City Treasurer to make immediate payment of <br />monthly utility service bills and other routine service bills which are due and payable by <br />the City upon .receipt of said bills, and to present those payments for ratification by the <br />City Council at the next scheduled meeting at which claims: are approved. <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member and was <br />seconded by Council Member and was declared adopted upon <br />the following vote: <br />NAME Uzpen Watson Rasmussen Lindner Artig-Swomiey <br />VOTE. <br />ATTEST <br />1, William Short, the duly qualified City Clerk of the City of Gem Lake, County of <br />Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and <br />accurate representation of action taken by the City Council of the City. of Gem Lake on. <br />the date first written. <br />William Short, City Clerk Date. <br />
